Lasts

Today was our last chapel service on campus. It was student preaching day here and Brent Thomason did very well. This evening I sat in my last Biblical Hermeneutics class, preparing now for the final next week. I finished my huge paper for that class lastnight and I am praying that Dr. Pierce's shows me grace. Tomorrow will be the last class in Old Testament. Today also was the last Spiritual Formation class. This time of year there are many firsts and lasts. When finals come to a close, please anticipate more blog entries from me. I truly have had some amazing things happen in my life this first semester. My prayers extend from Texas, to here, to YOU. May our God in heaven rain blessings upon all who read this.

P.S. if your reading this... and you know my shipping address....home made chocolate chip cookies would be a great incentive to study for finals....(mom, I am talking to you)

Before I leave

I have only about nine minutes until I have to go out and do my job. Today I have a great task in front of me. I have to successfully deliver letters to our residents in the Mobile home park. Unfortunately, we are closing the park in 2010, so we are already making strides to remind people, that they have to get out. I have to admit, we sure are prepared to give a early notice for the people. I mean, like 26 months...That is 2 years and 2 months. My job title is "Housing Inspector" My main responsibilities are to facilitate the annual tenant and landlord inspections. Every year every unit must be inspected per the City of Fort Worth. I have a great job, I mean I get to go into people's places and snoop around. (jk) In actuality, that is what I do. In total, we have some 800-900 units consisting of town homes, apartments, duplex's, and houses. Today like I said above, I am going to focus on our friends in the Mobile home park. Most of them are planning or they are going to start planning relocating or selling. It is kind of sad, because currently, this location is the only place you can have a pet. Code 102 in the renters hand book, specifically prohibits pets, unless in park. (this is true, but I have not idea the actual code number...just being funny) I have to admit, I have heard many stories of really successful people who are, have, or still live in, or lived, in a Mobile home. That being said, my time is almost up I have one minute before I must leave the office. This blog entry is dedicated to you, Mobile home resident, thank you for paying on time through out the years, but you have to GO, not for 2 years, but in July of 2010, we are shutting the gate.

Ready, Set, Go

It is Monday morning, about that time when many people are settling into their chairs they have become very accustom to. I myself am one of those people. Monday's are my full work day, I will work from 8-5 with an hour lunch at noon. A requirement for all new employee's at the seminary is they have to go through a two hour new-hire orientation. This should be pretty exciting, my friend Matia is in charge of it, and my goal is to make her laugh at least once during her presentation. ( I hope she's not one of those serious kind) HA HA.

My prayer is that you all had a very nice and plentiful weekend. I myself worked on a paper, hung out with friends, went to church, and had HOT doughnuts from Krispy-Kream. I will write more about our church service, when I have a few minutes.

It's 12:30 again...

Midnight or beyond is becoming a familiar time for me these days. I need to get somethings off my chest before I turn in for the night. I first wanted to share with you my evening. We started off at Razzo's off of Bryant-Irving Road. Justin, Amy, Bill, Stephine, Eric, Andrew, Angela, and Me had dinner together for our monthly "restaurant of the month club." Our goal was to go to the movie theaters and watch the new movie "expelled" If you have never heard about it, you must go, the movie or really a documentary is about intelligent design and stars a professor here at school. My prayer is that is causes a HUGE uproar in every community and REVIVAL will take place. Unfortunately, Razzo's was stinking packed, and it took much longer than we anticipated, so we settled for renting, I am legend. Again, this movie, is great, a little too short for my liking, but still a must see. Earlier today, I started my paper for Biblical Hermeneutics, it is an exegesis paper on Romans 8:31-39. If God is for us, who is against us. I am tempted to type out that first verse, and turn my paper in. Really, sit back, take a deep breathe in...... hold it.....ok....now...exhale..... God is for us, he sent is son for us, so why, why do we worry? I love people so much, some people probably don't know that about me, I do. I love everything about them. I look into people's eyes and I wonder, if they know what I know. I see people, I hear people, I absolutely hate the sin in our lives... So many people in my life right now are younger than me, I almost act like a parent to them at times, I'm sorry. I just care for you, I worry about your life, your dreams, your passions. My prayer is that people take a step back from their lives and see life through the eyes of Jesus. The man came to earth for one thing, to conquer sin, first and foremost. While on earth he did some amazing things, some powerful things, but the one important thing he did, was die for you and for me. He died for all. He died, he was buried, he rose again, and anyone who believes that, when you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. If we stop and see that, we believe that, we will receive freely, the promise it says in John 3:16...Everlasting Life. Why wouldn't you believe in that. Its the only way. God I pray you would burden my life, burden it so that I share this simple truth to everyone I come into contact with. I pray for restlessness when I speak to people, and when the conversation is not God centered, I pray you would make it God centered. I pray for the road ahead, that YOU would be on people's minds, and not foolish things. Rock my world God. My prayer is also for whoever is reading this, thank you for reading this far, Let's go further............................

Prayer

Hey everyone,
My prayer today is that you all are feeling the amazing love our Father in Heaven so provides. Yesterday was a very difficult day for me. The thing that I realized the most, was how precious life is. How short it can be, and what is it about this life are we living for? I am not questioning life, just wondering exactly why God is stretching me the way he is? So I did the only thing I knew what to do, and it was pray. Yesterday in chapel, we learned about the importance of prayer, and a daily prayer life. I have to confess, that this past week or so, my quite times have been amazing. I start each day off in scripture, read, meditate, and than pray about it. Its the daily commitment to prayer, that builds me up, so when hard times present themselves, I am able to press forward, not back. I talked with Sage last night, and told him that I realize another reason for my college football career. It prepared me to rise up in the hard times, stand firm, and PRESS ON. My purpose for this blog entry, is just to be encouraging to whoever reads it. To remind people that God does love us, he does care for us, he does provide a way for us. I thank you so very much for your own prayers, I am so thankful for them. I know for a fact that your prayers, are giving me strength to persevere out here. I pray for you all, I love you all even more. GOD BLESS

Aaron

Third Day and The Texas Rangers

April 12th, 2008
This past Saturday, 60 seminary students embarked on a great adventure to The Ballpark in Arlington. A small group of us started the day tailgating. We grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, ate chips and drank a vast assortment of soft drinks. Next, we were entertained by Atlanta's own Third Day. The night was concluded by a nine innings contest between the Toronto Bluejays and The Texas Rangers. I have to admit, we had an incredible time, the food was great, music was amazing. The best part of the entire day was singing and worshiping with 20,000 + fellow believers. Here are a few photos of are day, ENJOY.
